Emergency Training and Disaster Center

If you know our downtown halls, the main hall is circa 1937 and our rescue hall out back, the original 1884 hall are way outdated for modern vehicles, not handicap-accessible, not OSHA compliant. The new facility will be built next to the Gowanda Village Wastewater Treatment plant. It will be a tri-county training facility, and will be able to house victims of any disasters that may happen. We cannot accommodate anyone now. The company is going it alone on this project, and will benefit everyone. Our project goal is $400,000;   UPDATE 6/1/2008
Funding has come through due to a low interest 20 year loan that we applied for. We are very excited about this. Ground breaking for our new 6 bay hall with community room will be in September 2008. Although we have funding for the construction, we are still in need of funds for such things as a standby generator in case of a power failure, kitchen appliances, office furniture, to name a few.

We have  our 501 (C) 3  non-profit status from the IRS, this paves the way for grant funding and tax deductable gift donations.
Any help that we can get to make this endeavor become a reality would be greatly appreciated.

For more information on the project or to inquire about how to go about donating, please feel free to contact us.

We thank you for your interest in helping make our new hall a reality.
