Events:
We had a great turnout for our last BBQ June 1st. It's
great to see the community turnout to support all of our fundraising efforts.
There isn't much fundraising going on during the summer. It gives the
members time to enjoy the summer, which isn't long enough around here. We
have inspection coming up sometime in June. The firemens convention in Westons
Mills the first weekend in August, and the family picnic at the end of August.
Some members are parading throughout the summer also.
I guess that the best end of summer
that any of us will have had as firemen is going to be the
ground breaking in September 2008. We have acquired enough funding to have a new 6
bay hall and community room built. We are all very excited about this. The
building committee that put this into action has been working on this project
for the past 3 years. Congratulations go out to all of them for having the
foresite to tackle this for the next generations to come.
